Authorities have a suspect in custody in connection with a fatal stabbing that happened Friday night in Parma.
Police said they were called to a home in the 6000 block of Brownfield Drive around 11:57 p.m. When officers arrived they found 39-year-old Jason L. Masters in the basement with multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 38-year-old suspect fled the area prior to their arrival, but turned himself in to police a few hours later, authorities said.
The suspect is currently being held in the Parma jail. His name has not been released.
Authorities said charges are pending.
