NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio — Four people were taken to local hospitals after three motorcycles and a pickup truck collided in North Olmsted early Monday morning.
Police tell News 5 that the riders were at the traffic light at the intersection of Lorain Road heading east at Dover Center Road when a pickup truck ran into the back of three motorcycles around 1:55 a.m. Monday.
Two of the motorcycles were laying on their sides in the middle of the intersection and a third was on its side next to the pickup truck that had front end damage.
Police at the scene said that it appeared that in their early investigation, the crash was just an accident and that alcohol or drugs were not suspected to be involved.
The intersection was closed for a few hours while police reconstructed the events that led up to the crash.
The extent of the injuries sustained by the four people transported were not released.
Police said no charges have yet been filed.
