Police are investigating a homicide after a 59-year-old doctor was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds in a Beachwood home on Thursday evening.
Officers were sent to a home around 6:08 p.m. in the 2400 block of Brentwood Road to conduct a welfare check on a resident, authorities said. Police found the victim, Richard Warn, dead inside the residence.
Warn is a licensed podiatrist, with a practice in Shaker Heights, according to records.
Police didn't find any signs of forced entry into the home. Foul play is suspected, authorities said
The victim's wife said when she returned home from vacation and found the door locked and her husband's vehicle in the driveway she called police when no one answered the door, according to the 911 call.
The case remains under investigation.
