BAY VILLAGE, Ohio — The Bay Village Police Department is doing something different if you get a parking ticket.
From Nov. 15 until Dec. 31, they will accept unexpired non-perishable food items in lieu of monetary payment for tickets up to $25.
One item will be accepted for every $5 due in payment.
The food items will be donated to the Bay Food Ministry.
