It was one of USA Today's top ranked Black Friday spots this last November, but now the local toy store is shutting its doors.
Big Fun toy store on Coventry Road in Cleveland Heights is closing after "27 years of community smiles," the store announced on Facebook.
The store definitely spread smiles as a keeper of interesting collectibles, jokes and gags.
The store's owner, Steve, announced on Facebook that they will be "going out with a bang," with a final 50 percent off sale beginning Friday, Feb. 2. Items will also be brought up daily from the basement. The 50 percent off sale also extends to the Vintage Apparel Made in Cleveland store, just down the street from Big Fun. The sale at the clothing store will end Sunday, Feb. 11.
In his message to the community on Facebook, Steve said he always tells those who ask that he makes people laugh for a living, and is grateful for the support he has received from the community over the years.
