Body camera footage shows aftermath of St. Patrick's Day shooting at Beachwood Place Mall

Police have released body camera footage of one of the shootings that happened at Beachwood Place Mall on St. Patrick's Day.

The video shows officers responding to the mall with guns drawn. They call for the mall to be locked down and cleared.

One civilian was injured when he was shot in the leg. Police said the alleged shooter apparently knew the victim and intentionally shot him. The shooting was the result of an altercation, according to police.

The suspect was arrested by police, who still have not released his name.

On Saturday, March 17, the sound of shots fired sent shoppers into a panic. The shooting happened near Saks Fifth Avenue. Police believe two to three shots were fired.

"It was waves of chaos, bedlam," said News 5's Frank Wiley, who was shopping with his children when the shooting occurred. 

A handgun and a large amount of cash were recovered at the scene, police said.

A short time after the first shooting, police say they responded to a second report of shots fired inside the mall. A 17-year-old girl was taken to the hospital where she was treated and released.Police said the two incidents were unrelated.

Authorities said the second shooting involved a man entering the mall and accidentally discharging a gun.
