Brooklyn Heights police need your help finding car that hit girl on bicycle and fled the scene

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, Ohio — The Brooklyn Heights Police Department is seeking the public’s help in finding the driver of a vehicle that struck a child riding her bicycle late Saturday morning.

The incident happened in the 200 block of East Schaaf Road around 11:45 a.m.

According to police, a medium to dark gray vehicle—possibly a Toyota—hit the 10-year-old girl and then fled the scene.

The girl was treated and released on the scene, police said.

Authorities are asking anyone who was in the area and witnessed anything to call them. Police are also asking anyone who has a home nearby with a security camera to check their footage for the crash or car.

Police have not provided any photos or any additional information.

The incident remains under investigation.
