NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio — After 57 years of family business, Carrie Cerino’s Ristorante & Party Center, 8922 Ridge Road in North Royalton, closed its doors on Tuesday.

Known for its Italian meals and party center venue, the family business announced on Wednesday that it is closed, stating: “headwinds facing many small businesses in today’s environment it made it very difficult for Carrie Cerino’s to operate and compete."

“With a heavy heart, owner, Carmen Cerino, made the difficult decision to close and hopes to use the time off to enjoy his growing family,” the restaurant said in a statement.

A day before the closure announcement, Carrie Cerino’s put a call out on Facebook looking for a new member to join the wait staff.

The family thanked the community and loyal customers for allowing them to serve them over the years.

Many customers commenting on the announcement are left wondering what happens to their gift cards. At this time, the restaurant has not commented on refunding any gift cards.
