Pepper Pike police officers responding to a breaking and entering call at an office building on Chagrin Boulevard found the suspect, but it wasn't what they were expecting.
When police arrived, they found a broken window and the victim standing outside. The man told police he was sitting in his office when a deer smashed the window and jumped inside. Was the deer looking to loot some doe? Maybe take a few bucks? We don't know.
The man told police he shut the door and climbed out through the window and called them for help.
Officers were able to free the deer, and it ran off through some nearby woods.
This is the second time in just a few days a deer was rescued by police.
On Saturday, Parma Heights police got a call about a deer (that was clearly trespassing) that somehow managed to get stuck in a fence and was in need of helping hand.
Several officers were able to free the trapped deer and it ran off.
News 5 will continue to cover this alarming deer crime spree as it develops.
