A car and box truck took down several poles on the city's west side Thursday morning, causing road closures and destruction resemblance of the aftermath of a tornado.
Light poles were down on Denison Avenue after at least four light poles fell onto the street and in nearby front yards.
Authorities have closed Denison Avenue between W. 47th Street and W. 50th Street as crews are expected be cleaning up the mess all day long.
The downed power lines have caused power outages for the residents in the neighborhood. It's unclear when power will be restored at this time.
