Downed power lines causing outages in Euclid; over 4,500 without power across the area

EUCLID, Ohio — High winds are causing power outages across Northeast Ohio. FirstEnergy reports more than 4,500 residents are without power Thursday morning.

Downed power lines on Lakeshore Bouleveard are causing power outages in Euclid.

Lakeshore Boulevard is closed from East 195th Street to South Lakeshore Boulevard. Traffic signals are out at South Lakeshore Boulevard and at East 189th Street and Lakeshore Bouelvard.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for Erie, Lorain, Cuyahoga, Lake, and Ashtabula counties from 8 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. on Friday.

Power outages are reported in the following counties:

  • Summit County—2,612
  • Lake—1,334
  • Cuyahoga—259
  • Lorain—352
