Authorities responded to a crash that trapped the driver inside a vehicle on the city's east side early Monday morning.
An SUV slammed into a building located on the corner of St. Clair Avenue and Blenheim Road.
The vehicle went through a pole and hit the building, causing a female driver to be trapped inside, a fire official on scene confirmed.
It's unknown at this time what caused the driver to crash.
The driver was taken to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. The driver's condition is unknown.
The other occupant was placed in the back of a police cruiser after acting "uncooperative," according to a Cleveland fire official on scene.
Traffic lights were out on St. Clair Avenue from Blenheim Road to Hayden Avenue.
