Four men, all armed with firearms, robbed a Steak 'n Shake early Monday morning, according to Garfield Heights police.
Police responded around 2 a.m. to Steak 'n Shake, 9401 Vista Way, in Garfield Heights.
One employee witnessed one man enter the restaurant and walk over to two employees, pointing a gun at one and taking the watch off another employee.
The same man then grabbed the throat of a female employee and told her to open the registers. Three other men demanded the other three employees grab the cash from the safe and registers.
One of the employees was taken to the hospital after receiving minor abrasions to his left arm after he told police that he was pistol whipped.
All four men exited the restaurant after taking an unknown amount of cash, with one of the men firing a shot towards the grill area.
Police said all the men exited west from the restaurant on foot towards a nearby business parking lot. It is unknown whether they continued on foot or if they entered a vehicle to flee the scene.
Multiple departments were on scene, including a Shaker K-9, as authorities searched the area for the four men. The four men involved in the robbery were not located by police.
