When crews arrived, visible smoke and flames were seen on the roof, which is in the building's cafeteria area, according to authorities. The building was evacuated as a precaution.
Parma Heights, Parma and Brookpark fire crews assisted Brooklyn crews.
Fire officials say people will be allowed back into the building once everything is cleared.
The fire is being investigated.
