An 88-year-old woman and several of her pets were killed in a house fire in Fairview Park early Thursday.
Multiple departments were on the scene putting out the fire, which started around 5:30 a.m. A preliminary investigation shows it was an accidental electrical fire, according to the Fairview Park fire chief.
One woman was transported by ambulance to a local hospital after firefighters found her in the kitchen.
Fairview Park Fire Department confirmed that woman, 88-year-old Jeanne Hall, and her pets died as a result of the fire.
Fairview Park fire was assisted by Lakewood, Rocky River, Westlake and Bay Village fire departments.
