UPDATE 7:00 P.M.: All lanes of I-90 eastbound at East 72nd Street are open. Only the right lane remains closed on I-90 east at Eddy Road, ODOT reported.
ODOT said traffic is slow going from the Innerbelt Curve.
UPDATE 3:30 P.M.: State Route 2 eastbound is now closed to I-90 eastbound. All traffic is being diverted onto I-90 westbound to I-77 south to I-480 east to I-271 north.
Cleveland Fire said the road will likely be closed for several more hours. An estimated 1,300 gallons of tar sealant was spilled.
UPDATE 2 P.M.: I-90 eastbound is now closed at East 72nd Street due to an incident past Eddy Road. Drivers are asked to use alternate routes and avoid the area.
The roadway will likely be closed into the evening rush, ODOT reported.
Drivers in the area who are forced to exit at East 72nd Street should use East 72nd Street south to St. Clair Avenue east to either East 140th Street or East 152nd Street to return to I-90.
Two people were taken to the hospital due to the crash, according to Cleveland Fire.

Police were headed to a serious crash around 11:30 a.m. Friday on Interstate 90 eastbound at East 140th Street.
I-90 eastbound was closed between East 55th and Eddy Road, according to CECOMS.
