If you like golfing but hate waiting for good weather to get back on the course, soon you won't have to anymore.
Sports venue and entertainment centerTopgolf will be calling Cleveland home with its third Ohio venue coming to Independence. This location joins West Chester, near Cincinnati, and one in Columbus that's currently in the middle of construction.
"Adding Topgolf to the Independence business community is a significant win for us, as it broadens the Rockside area's amenity mix," said Independence Mayor Anthony Togliatti.
The construction on the 65,000 square-foot space will begin this fall, with a projected opening day in 2019.
The facility will have point-scoring golf games using microchipped balls that instantly score themselves, along with a climate controlled hitting bay.
The new venue will be located near the Embassy Suites at 5800 Rockside Woods Blvd.
