CLEVELAND — Former UFC Heavyweight champ Stipe Miocic teamed up with Cleveland police to go against Cleveland fire at IHOP's 13th Annual Pancake Eating Contest on Monday.
In a battle that was close, Cleveland fire came out on top, finishing 18 plates of pancakes with Cleveland police falling short at 15 plates.
The contest was a six-against-six timed relay, with the team who consumes the pancakes the fastest taking home the title of Pancake Eating Champs. This battle kicked off Free Pancake Day-Flip It Forward for Kids on Tuesday, March 12.
Locally, IHOP raises close to $75,000 for the Children's Miracle Network, including Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital.
