Pepper Pike police and the Cleveland office of the FBI are investigating a bank robbery that occurred around 12:20 p.m. on Jan. 22.

Police said an unknown white male entered Key Bank, 30200 Chagrin Boulevard, carrying an empty box and acting as if it contained a bomb. The man told employees to hand over money in $50 and $100 denominations only.

The suspect is described as standing about 5-foot-4-inches to 5-foot-10 inches tall, medium build and wearing a black ski mask, black scarf and a yellow hooded sweatshirt with what was possibly described as the words "West Virginia."

The man fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash in an older model gray pickup resembling a Toyota Tacoma.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Pepper Pike police at 216-831-1424 or the Cleveland FBI at 216-522-1400.
