LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Lakewood police have arrested a man wanted for a string of break-ins over a two-month span at several Lakewood businesses.
James A. Reardon, 49, of Lakewood, was arrested and charged on Dec. 21 with breaking and entering in connection to the following break-ins:
- On Nov. 28, police responded to Cleveland Vegan, 17110 Detroit Avenue, for a reported break-in and stolen money.
- On Dec. 18, police responded to Black Sheet Boutique, 2011 Carabel Avenue, at around 3:55 a.m., after someone reported damage to the front door and told police cash was stolen from the register.
- Shortly after 4 a.m. on Dec. 18, police responded to Cleveland Vegan again regarding a burglary alarm that was activated. An investigation indicated the front glass was broken and the business told police money had been taken.
- Several hours later, police responded to The Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 14560 Madison Avenue after reports of someone entering the church through a basement window.
Reardon is currently being held in the Lakewood Police Jail.
