A man has died in a shooting after a fight Thursday night, Cleveland police confirmed.
Shortly before 10:30 p.m., police responded to 17500 block of Euclid Avenue after hearing a report of a man attempting to enter an apartment followed by a call of a man getting shot.
When police arrived, EMS treated a 26-year-old man who was shot in the stomach. He was taken to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center where he died from his injuries, police said.
Officers said the 26-year-old man forced his way into an apartment, which prompted a fight with a 22-year-old man.
During the fight, the 26-year-old was shot by a 29-year-old man who was arrested by police.
News 5 will release the identity of the man pending formal charges.
The shooting remains under investigation.
