Multiple people arrested at Cleveland Heights High School for rioting, police say

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Police responding to a fight at Cleveland Heights High School on Friday arrested several students and one adult for fighting.

Authorities said they charged seven individuals with aggravated rioting. Additionally, one of students was taken into custody for failure to disperse. Another student is facing charges through the juvenile court and was released to a parent.

Firefighters were also called to the scene to treat a person who had difficulty breathing.

A police officer sustained a minor injury during the arrests.

The cause of the fight is under investigation.

The names and ages of the individuals involved have not been released.
