PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio — 10-year-old Luke Horne isn’t just any fourth-grader. He’s a fourth-grader with a magnitude of strength.
Luke was life-flighted a few days after Christmas to the Cleveland Clinic where they discovered that he had a brain tumor. He is now receiving radiation treatment five times a week and chemotherapy treatment seven days a week.
Luke’s parents, Katie and Dan Horne, have both quit their jobs in order to dedicate their time to focusing on Luke's health. To help pay for medical bills and living expenses, the Parma community held a carnival for Luke and his family.
The carnival had professional face painting, rides, games and of course, cotton candy.
The event was held at the Parma Heights Christian Academy.
A GoFundMe account has also been set up to help with Luke’s medical costs.
