A 28-year-old Parma man has been charged after he accidentally fired a gun at Beachwood Place Mall on St. Patrick's Day.
Authorities have charged Brandon C.B. Wood with inducing panic, a fourth-degree felony.
According to police, Wood had just entered the mall through the main entrance when his gun somehow went off. A 17-year-old girl was injured and taken to the hospital, treated and released.
Wood fled the scene but was arrested on Tuesday.
Police said the incident isn't connected to a separate intentional shooting that occurred outside the mall on the same day.
