Police in one Northeast Ohio community are warning shoppers to take a closer look at their receipts.

The warning comes after police said a Walmart cashier was charged with theft.

South Euclid police are alerting shoppers to check their receipts for purchases they did not make.

Police said 20-year-old Artis Driscal, of Cleveland, was a Walmart cashier charging customers for gift cards and keeping the gift cards for himself.

Police said he racked up gift cards to several restaurants without customers knowing while they checked out of the store.

At least four victims later came forward.

Police believes there could be even more victims and reminded people to check their receipts and credit card statements.

If convicted police said Driscal could face a $1,000 fine and six months in jail for each charge.
