Two suspects are believed to be at large following a robbery at a Walgreens store in Lakewood early Monday morning, authorities said.
According to police, officers were called to the store, located at 11701 Detroit Ave., at around 1:31 a.m., regarding an armed robbery in progress.
Employees told police the store was being robbed by two black men, who wore all black clothing. Employees also said each suspect displayed a handgun.
The suspects fled the store with an "undetermined" amount of money, police said, before officers arrived.
Shortly after the incident, authorities said they observed a man matching the description of one of the suspects at the intersection of Hird and Detroit avenues. The man fled northbound and officers chased him on foot, but were unable to catch up to him.
No one was hurt in the incident, police said.
