SOLON, Ohio — Two local high schools are ranked in the top 10 best high schools in the state, according to a report by US News and World Report.
Solon High School is ranked number six in the state. The study says the school was ranked that high because students have an opportunity to take Advanced Placement courses, they have a participation rate of 71% and only 9% of students are economically disadvantaged.
Aurora High School came in at number nine on the list. According to the study, the school gives students the opportunity to take AP exams, they are divided equally in gender and they have a 99% graduation rate.
Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati took the top spot as the best high school in the state.
