Police puzzled at storage unit thefts

Rocky River police are trying to track down two thieves who police said burglarized dozens of storage units at two buildings on Wooster Road.

The crooks broke into storage units at the Continental West Condos and the Presidential Apartment Complex in the early morning hours over the weekend, police said.

"Those buildings are very secure," said Rocky River Police Chief Kelly Stillman. Police are not sure how the thieves got into the buildings since both have secure entrances.

Once the two were in, they spent a couple of hours going from one storage unit to another, stealing items from the buildings, police said.

"They used tools to cut the locks off," said Stillman.

Anyone with information is asked to call Rocky River police at 440-331-1234.

Calls to both the Continental West Condos and the Presidential Apartment Complex were not returned.
