ROCKY RIVER, Ohio — A shoe store in Rocky River is closing its doors next month after 99 years in business.
Szabo Shoes, located on Center Ridge Road, has specialized in hard-to-find sizes, widths and wellness shoes for almost a century.
The shoe store, along with Rustic Restaurant, was the only business in the location that was around before Westgate Mall opened.
Ulric Szabo, the owner of the shoe store, said he is sad to see his family business go.
“We would like to express our gratitude for all the support throughout the years from our friends and patrons,” Szabo said.
Szabo Shoes will officially go out of business in late October.
