High schoolers in Beachwood team up to create the world's longest sandwich line to fight hunger in Cleveland.
They created 40,000 sandwiches, with 9,000 pounds of food, all through a sandwich line spanning 2.5 miles on Sunday.
All of the sandwiches are being donated to organizations in the area that feed the hungry.
Student Lena Leland said she came up with the idea last December, to help people who don't know where their next meal is coming from.
"I wanted to get people's attention, do something big, and I thought, what could be bigger than breaking a world record," Leland said.
Sunbutter, Welch's Jelly and Orlando Baking Company partnered with Leland to donate all of the supplies.
