ROCKY RIVER, Ohio — The FBI has received about a dozen calls after making a plea to the public for help on Monday in connection with a double murder.

The FBI and Cleveland Metroparks police are looking for information that might help solve the murders that happened at the Rocky River Reservation on June 4.

“Sometimes people don’t realize what they saw, but it might mean something to us. They may not think anything of it,” said FBI Special Agent Vicki Anderson.

Investigators believe Kate Brown, 33, and Carnell Sledge, 40, were both shot and killed between 5:08 and 5:15 p.m. of June 4.

“That’s a very busy time in the park,” said Anderson.

Investigators would like anyone who was in the park between 4:30 and 5:30 on the afternoon of June 4 to call the FBI at 216-522-1400, CrimeStoppers at 216-252-7463 or Metroparks Police at 440-331-5219. Reward money is available.
