CLEVELAND — Cuyahoga Community College has opened registration for virtual courses for individuals ages 55 and older, working to maintain community programs amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tri-C is offering its Encore On-the-Go sessions, which cover a variety of subjects including finance, history, fitness, music, literature, philosophy, science and more.

The first six-week session will start on Jan. 25, followed by sessions starting March 16 and May 4. The classes are 50 minutes long and meet once a week on either Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays.

Classes have three different start times 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The cost for enrollment into the Encore On-the-Go six-week course is $27.

In addition to the six-week course, Tri-C is also returning it’s 55+ adult education program Neighborhood Scholars, that will be conducted in a “primarily virtual format.”
