CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio — A rally for justice protest scheduled to happen Tuesday in Chagrin Falls has been canceled by the event’s organizer due to the “sudden escalation of events” that have been happening around the country.

The event’s organizer, Chase Tuller, made the announcement on Facebook Sunday evening.

“Unfortunately, due to tragic and systemic injustice of George Floyd and the sudden escalation of events that are occurring in our country, and communities right now I don’t feel it’s appropriate to continue on with our rally for justice protest,” Tuller wrote.

According to Tuller, the event will be rescheduled for another time “when things become less tense and more safe.”

Tuller’s decision wasn’t influenced by any individual person or organization, he said.

“I’m sorry to anyone who was looking forward to this event, however I feel that this is the most appropriate option,” Tuller said.
