CLEVELAND — A water main break on Ludlow Road in Cleveland is letting out so much water that a portion of Shaker Square is flooded and Shaker Heights High School is closed.

According to Cleveland police, water appears to be coming up from the ground in front of 2907 Ludlow Road.

The 6 inch water main break was reported late Thursday night by Cleveland Water.

The water main break has closed Shaker Square from the south, which is near the Shaker Heights Cinemas.

A woman in a wheelchair became stuck in several inches of freezing cold water.

Shaker Heights High School will be closed Friday because of a water main break in the vicinity of the building. All other schools and offices in the district will be open.
