Overdose Spike Alert issued in Erie County following string of overdoses in Sandusky

SANDUSKY, Ohio — The Erie County Health Department has issued an Overdose Spike Alert after a string of overdoses in the area.

In the last 72 hours, there have been four overdoses in the city of Sandusky, one of which resulted in death, the department said.

Resources for those at risk of overdose are available and the Erie County Health Department can help navigate the process. They can be contacted at 419-624-3353.

The health department also offers free mail-order Naloxone for those at risk of an overdose and their loved ones.
