Milan, Ohio is best known for being the birthplace of Thomas Edison. For locals, the town of 1,300 is also known for its dark past.

On April 1, 1968, a triple murder rocked the small farm town — three members of a well-loved family, slain in the dead of the night.

The murder weapon was never found, but a mystifying piece of evidence was left behind.

Who killed William, Ann, and 12-year-old Patricia Cassidy? The townspeople have always had their theories — so have the police.

This cold case, the latest subject of our "Unsolved" series still sits open at the Erie County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with information is encouraged to call 419-627-7668.
