Four prisoners were injured in a car crash early Sunday morning after the van that was transporting them hit an unoccupied car, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the accident happened around 1:31 a.m. on US 422 in Troy Township. The US Corrections van hit a 2013 Honda Fit that was unoccupied and disabled on the side of the road, according to officials.
All passengers in the van were taken to Geauga Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries, troopers said.
Alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the crash, according to authorities.
