HURON, Ohio — A Huron man was killed in a three-vehicle crash on State Route 2 in the City of Huron on Thursday night.

The crash happened at around 8:20 p.m. on State Route 2 near mile marker 17 in Huron. A Ford Ranger was traveling eastbound on State Route 2 when its right tire blew out, causing the driver to lose control.

The Ford Ranger went off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail before it spun back into traffic, causing it to hit a man riding a Harley Davidson Street Glide.

The driver of the Harley Davidson Street Glide, identified by state troopers as John Corbin, of Huron, was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Corbin was not wearing a helmet.

A third vehicle, a Harley Davidson Fat Bob, driven by a Huron woman, also struck the front of the Ford Ranger when it came back into traffic. She was also ejected from the vehicle and sustained incapacitating injuries. Troopers said she was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The driver of the Ford Ranger was not injured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
