WILLARD, Ohio — The Willard Police Department made a special appearance at a child’s birthday party this weekend.
Anthony, a young resident of Willard, is set to have heart surgery, but beforehand he was thrown a birthday party, according to the Facebook post on the department's page.
An officer surprised Anthony by showing up in his cruiser to the party. Anthony was dressed as an officer and even brought out his kid-sized cruiser.
The Willard Police Department wished Anthony a happy birthday and a speedy recovery from his upcoming heart surgery, offering to give the boy a tour of the station and treat him to lunch after he’s better.
