The Fairport Harbor police and fire departments responded on Thursday to a body found in the Grand River.
The body was discovered in shallow water by local law enforcement near the Grand River Marine Sailing Center located at 939 Water Street. The U.S. Coast Guard assisted local law enforcement with the recovery.
The body was transported to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy, where officials will determine a cause of death and make a positive identification.
