MENTOR, Ohio — Crime-fighting Mentor police K-9 worked his last shift over the weekend before his well-deserved retirement.
Titan, a 7-year-old German Shepherd, has more “apprehensions” under his collar than any other police dog in the department’s history. Apprehensions is K-9 police talk for biting the bad guys, by the way.
In April 2018 during Easter weekend, Titan was credited with tracking down a man who police believed was breaking into at least a half dozen vehicles in a Mentor neighborhood.
Hours later, Titan was used once again in Madison Township. A man robbed a convenience store with a knife, then took off running into the woods.
