EASTLAKE, Ohio — A 4-year-old boy in Eastlake had a very special birthday celebration Sunday thanks to city officials.
Alonzo Davis was recently diagnosed with high-functioning autism as well as several other disorders and city officials wanted to make his birthday this year feel extra special.
To do that, Alonzo was surprised with his favorite character, The Grinch, at a special birthday celebration.
Eastlake Mayor Dennis Morley also attended and presented Alonzo with a key to the city and a special proclamation that Sunday was "Alonzo Davis Day."
"It's pretty awesome that they would come out and dedicate a whole day to him, to make him feel like he's not less of,” said Alonzo’s mom Merissa Davis.
