LAKE COUNTY, Ohio — Attention golfers: The Lake Metroparks will open Pine Ridge Country Club and Erie Shores Golf Course on Friday.
The metroparks will implement protocols and extra steps to include social distancing, sanitizing, providing a no-touch golf, a to-go only food and beverage operation and additional clubhouse rules.
Per Lake Metroparks, customers must follow these guidelines:
General Golfer Conduct
· If you don't feel well, please stay home
· Practice CDC physical distancing guidelines (always stay six feet away from others); if you don't adhere to physical distancing rules you will be asked to leave the premises
· Book tee times by phone; tee times strongly encouraged (walk-ups may or may not be accepted)
· Credit card payments only
· No rainchecks
· Allow space between cars in the parking lot
· Arrive at the clubhouse no more than ten minutes before your tee time
· Check-in at the clubhouse, follow signage
· No physical contact at the course between golfers and/or golf course staff
· Initially, we will allow walking golfers only. We hope to allow carts in the near future.
Course Modifications
· Do not touch the flagsticks; holes will be filled with pool noodles
· Rakes, ball washers, mailboxes, and coolers removed
· Vending machine sheds locked
· On-course restrooms closed (locked)
· Practice greens at both courses and Erie Shores driving range remain closed for now
Pro Shop Operations as of 4/24/20
· Pine Ridge Country Club: 9 am to 4 pm (at front clubhouse windows)
· Erie Shores Golf Course: 8 am to 5 pm (limits on number of people and one-way circulation in clubhouse)
· Winter rates in effect through April
· Tee times spaced 15 minutes apart
· Restrooms open in clubhouse (restrooms on course closed)
· Pre-packaged, take-out food and beverages available for purchase
· Clubhouse, door handles and restrooms will be cleaned on a regular basis
