WILLOWICK, Ohio — About 300 children in Lake County were treated to a free pizza lunch from Alesci's of Willowick and drive-thru trick-or-treating, according to Eastlake Councilman Mike Zuren.
There was a line of cars for as far as the eye could see at Willow Praise Church in Willowick on Saturday as families lines up to celebrate the spooky season safely.
This program started back in the spring when area schools were shut down because of the pandemic.
City and county leaders in Lake County joined forces with area businesses to offer lunches for children who depended on school lunches.
The Halloween giveaway wasn't the last event on Lake County's calendar.
The next free lunch for children is set from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7 at Willow Praise Church. Zuren said it will have a Thanksgiving theme.
