Republic Steel is bringing back life to its Lorain location as Trump's administration recent move on the crackdown of imported steel.
Republic Steel said it has increased demand for their services and as a result, they are bringing back some of the workload to the Lorain facility.
By reopening the rolling mill, it will create 80 new jobs over the next two months.
Republic Steel had already made 25 new hires at its Canton facility and is recruiting 50 more.
The announcement of more jobs has been met with excitement from Lorain leaders, but the future of what American steel will look like in Northeast Ohio is uncertain.
