NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio — A 15-year-old male has died following a crash involving a vehicle that had struck a tree on the south side of Otten Road in North Ridgeville Tuesday morning, according to a news release from police.
The crash happened at about 4:44 a.m. near the entrance of Sandy Ridge Reservation.
When officers arrived, they found a male, identified as a 15-year-old North Ridgeville resident, trapped inside the vehicle.
The North Ridgeville Fire Department arrived on scene and extricated the teen from the vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by LifeFlight Medical Personnel.
The teen's name is being withheld at this time, police said in the release.
Police did not release any further information about the crash. The news release did not indicate whether the teen was driving.
