39-year-old man shot and killed in Lorain on Easter Sunday, police say

LORAIN, Ohio — A Lorain resident has been arrested after admitting to police that he shot and killed a 39-year-old man on Easter Sunday.

Officers responded at approximately 8:45 p.m. to the 6100 block of Meadow Farm Road for a male shot.

Officers found a 39-year-old man dead with a gunshot wound.

Another man at the scene, identified by police as Steve Coleff, 35, of Lorain, admitted to shooting the victim, according to the news release.

Officers located the firearm used in the shooting at the scene.

Cole was charged in connection to the fatal shooting and booked into the Lorain County Jail.

The name of the victim is being withheld until next-of-kin has been notified.
