LORAIN, Ohio — Equipment worth around $8,000 was stolen from the Boys and Girls Club in Lorain County, according to a police report.
Police were called to the Boys and Girls Club, 4111 Pearl Avenue, in Lorain for a report of a theft.
The organization’s safety and maintenance told police that sometime between June 25 and Tuesday morning, one of the four metal shipping containers, which contains lawn equipment and other items, had its lock cut off and was missing.
The following items were stolen from the container:
- Diamondback zero turn mover—$6,500
- Three Echo trimmers— $250 each
- Miscellaneous lawn and garden equipment—$300
- Miscellaneous electrical wire and outlets—$500
At the time the report was filed, security cameras were inaccessible.
The maintenance manager told police he believes the theft likely happened over the weekend.
