LORAIN, Ohio — Lorain High School was evacuated Tuesday morning for a short time after administrators received a series of threatening phone calls.

According to school officials, the threats were "deemed credible, but unconfirmed." The school said the threats were called in by someone using Google Voice.

School officials triggered a fire alarm, and students and staff were escorted to a safe area.

Police and firefighters responded to the building. Crews made a sweep of the property and later gave the all-clear to return.

The Lorain Police Department is investigating the incident.
