An arrest has been made in connection with a hit-skip that seriously injured two people last November in Elyria.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 23-year-old Alexander Kilgore was charged with two counts of aggravated vehicular assault in connection with the incident. He was also charged with leaving the scene of a crash, receiving stolen property, obstructing official business, driving under suspension and driving left of center.

The crash happened on Nov. 24 just before 11 a.m. on Lake Avenue in Elyria.

Police said Kilgore was allegedly driving a stolen 2015 Jeep Wrangler, went left of center and struck a 2010 Ford Flex.

Authorities said he fled the scene on foot and was later seen on a security camera making a purchase at Lake Beverage.

Kilgore was arraigned Friday morning. He is currently being housed in the Lorain County Jail without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 1.
